About Desiccant Air Dryers
Desiccant air dryers remove the most moisture from compressed air out of any type of dryer. They are most useful in sensitive applications like paint spraying, where even the tiniest bit of moisture in the air could botch the end product.
How Desiccant Dryers Work
The word desiccant refers to a drying material. As compressed air flows through a desiccant dryer, the drying material, often silica gel or molecular sieve media, captures the moisture within the air. By the time the air exits the dryer, it is virtually free of moisture.
Regenerative Dryers
Many of the desiccant air dryers we offer are regenerative. These dryers include two columns of filter material. When one column fills up with moisture, the air starts flowing through the other column while the first dries out. This process continues in a cycle as long as the dryer is running and eliminates the need for manual filter changes.
