I Am Glad I Have This Air Compressor
By James D.

Review Posted 08/02/2016

I was on this site searching for a larger ac when I saw the reviews left for this machine. I an sorry to say I do not leave reviews as often as I should.
I bought this 18 months ago. When it arrived the tractor trailer driver lowered his lift gate to the level of my Ford Expedition. I pushed it into the back of my truck. I cut the shipping box off in the back of my truck, where this machine still is today.
I am a professional auto detailer. I use this machine to drive a Tornador. A tool used to clean car interiors.
Many days when it is 95 to a 100 outside this machine runs sometimes for 5 hrs without stopping.
There is not a day that goes by that I am not shocked she is still running. I knew nothing about air compressors when I ordered it. But because of how well it has performed, I have purchased other DeWALT air tools.
I feel God looked out for me the day I ordered this fine machine.
READ THE MANUAL. I followed the manual instructions for break-in. Then changed the oil to Royal Purple ac oil. Royal Purple reduces friction thus lowering the operating temps.
Some of you reading this may think this is a paid review. So I went outside and took a picture of it in my truck.
I will never buy an air compressor that is not a DeWALT. Plus I run this from a Champion propane powered generator. Something Steve at Air Compressors Direct does not recamend. But here she is still working like a champ.

My DeWALT
By LaVerne K.
Council Bluffs, Iowa
Purchased 10/05/2012 |
Review Posted 12/27/2012
When the DeWALT air compressor was delivered, I started it up with no problems but it continually leaks air.
I called DeWALT and they had me perform some cleaning of the unit but to no avail. It leaks all the air out of the unit in a few hours. I have my old Sears compressor in the corner and it holds air for over a month.
