When only the most powerful will do, this made-in-USA unit will deliver a superior performance.
For comparison, many 12-volt units take almost a minute to fill a 5-gallon air tank from 120psi to 150psi; this unit takes only 11 seconds. Some folks use this for their air suspension systems; check out the video.
It's rated as Extended Duty because the manufacturer recommends 50-hour service intervals. The deep fins and cooling fan reduce heat and wear. The exclusive forced-air system cools the compressor body with a 100 cfm fan built into the housing shroud, while an internal fan cools the 5HP modified electric motor.
This cooling combination results in a superior 100% duty cycle at 200 psi- plenty of power for your off-road and on-road applications.
There's a connection point so you can install a switch, but you will need to supply the switch. The unit also comes with 10' of #4 AWG cable to make the install easier.

Oasis 12v Compressor
By Justin V.

Review Posted 12/03/2023
I’ve had an Oasis 12v on my bagged Dually for 9 years mounted under the bed been through all seasons of weather. Cranked up to 240psi builds up pressure fast, very reliable. Highly recommend and purchased 2 more to put on my 4x4 and another low rider. I’ve tried other compressors and they aren’t anything close.

Internal Filter Looks Like Metal Shavings, But Don't Worry
By Ben R.

Review Posted 01/07/2019
I read a review here where someone noticed metal shavings when looking down the inlet hole of the compressor.
They were concerned if it was normal or not.
Mine had that too, but I found out that it is not metal shavings, it is a filter/oil separator, so it is normal. It just looks kind of like metal shavings because it is essentially a stainless steel scrubbing pad.

I Have Two & Love Them
By Tracy G.
Kanab, Utah
Review Posted 08/07/2018
I purchased two of these compressors. I use them for onboard air on small maintenance trucks. I was skeptical because of the price but I must say they are worth the money. I tied mine into a very small onboard tank for a little added volume and it works great. Now that I have used this compressor, I can't go back to a smaller one. I love this thing.

This is the second one I have bought. The first one has been in the back of my truck exposed to the weather for 5 years. Still works great. This one is even better with the fan to cool it.

12 Volt Continuous Air
By John B.
Syracuse, New York
Purchased 06/23/2017 |
Review Posted 07/17/2017
The compressor is very high quality. It was installed in a small fire rescue truck to operate air horns. The unit is set up to run only air horns. There is no tank on the truck and so far there has been no problems.
Customer is very happy with the outcome.

Good Air Compressor
By Barry P.
texline, Texas
Purchased 02/07/2016 |
Review Posted 03/16/2016
I have it installed in my farm work pickup with a 3 gallon air tank. It will run a 1/2 inch impact to change sprinkler tires and bloiw out radiators and air up truck tires.
I could not do without it. This is our third one! it does not take up a lot of room like a gas powered one.
These are very durable compressors!

Won't run a half inch air impact without a tank like they claim but really nice nonetheless.

Expert Response
I checked our website and I'm sorry, we don't say anything about this compressor running an impact wrench. It would completely depend on the tool you're using, and how you're using it.
For example, the TL140200AV impact wrench is rated at 4.7 CFM at 90 PSI. This compressor is rated at 8 CFM at 90 PSI. That's a pretty good matchup since you always want extra CFM on the compressor side. Other impact wrenches may have different CFM demands and may not work at all.
However without a tank, the compressor will have to run continuously to keep up; it's not really the right tool for this job on a regular basis. In an off-road emergency repair it could be pretty useful.
If you're using an impact wrench to change out tires like a service truck you would really need a truck mounted air compressor to get the job done.

Great Compressor & Fast Shipping
By Brandon W.
Wolfforth, Texas
Purchased 12/28/2015 |
Review Posted 01/18/2016
I got this compressor just a few days after ordering it. I have not used it a lot but it seems to work very well and is much quieter than I thought it would be. I used to have a gas powered unit on my flatbed truck and this is so much nicer. I mounted it in an underbody toolbox and have all my bed space back. I purchased an 8 gallon tank and mounted it under the bed.
The only complaint I have if you can even call it that is the power cables are ten feet long. Mounting the unit anywhere on a pickup bed or in the tool boxes on a flatbed is going to require 14-15' of wire unless you have a regular cab. The included wires are 4ga and the manufacturer says you can go up to 20' by switching to 0ga wire which I did. I used 1/0 welding cable. The ground wire is easy to bolt on to the motor but the positive is attached somewhere inside the compressor and you can't get to the point where it is attached without totally disassembling it and the case is sealed with tamper resistant stickers that say warranty is void if you open it.
I called Oasis and they said to cut the positive cable about 6" away from the motor and splice it to the 0ga which I did and it works fine, but is not as clean of an install as I would have liked. Splicing the huge wires isn't exactly easy either. Oasis's preferred method is to use their 10' cables and cut them as short as you can or mount a second battery just for the compressor right beside it. I didn't have room for this so I went the longer cable route. I would guess most typical installs will require 15' or so of cable so it would have been nice if they included that much of the heavier gauge wire from the factory. Unless you are mounting it in a Jeep or adding a battery the ten foot cables are not going to be long enough.
Overall I give it an A+ though and wish I would have bought one long ago. I have been through three gas powered units in the past ten years they just don't seem to last long mounted on a truck bed out in the elements. I am looking forward to having my bed space back and not running out of gas on the compressor or fighting with starting it on cold mornings.
